When you are famous it is hard to work on small problems. This is what did Shannon in. After information theory, what do you do for an encore? The great scientists often make this error. They fail to continue to plant the little acorns from which the mighty oak trees grow. They try to get the big thing right off. And that isn't the way things go.
As Hamming said in 1986, at Bell Labs.
Everything begins small. We appreciate brainstorming large-scale ideas and believe in Moonshots. Of course, we should be seeking bigger, bolder, ambitions, but we have lost sight of the importance of small ideas in the process. Small efforts are the seeds that will grow into forest someday. While funding giga factories, we have forgotten about conducting garage experiments.. We have forgotten what it’s like to do things without an agenda. And we wonder, why we have stopped producing Einsteins.
The moment has arrived to change things. It’s time to empower those who aren’t afraid to try new things. Those who have never-give-up attitude and firm belief that they can change the world. We must give the ignited minds the freedom and resources they need to work on renegade ideas.
It’s a myth that only the rich can give and others cannot. Everyone of us can contribute. We may all devote to something that is greater than our own desires. And in order for this to happen, we are building a hyper-structure.
It enables everyone to sponsor the inventive minds . Risk takers can apply for these funds and start changing the world.
Together we can make something greater than 140 characters and realize the dream of flying car. We can once again have Einsteins. The time has come to turn dreams into reality. To propel mankind forward. To accelerate progress.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!
Congratulations on this new venture Molly.
